Will began his career in the technology sector as a developer and entrepreneur. He was a partner in a startup that sold to a strategic buyer in the late ‘90s, and learned about M&A, finance, and business exits. Will then pursued his MBA at the University of Texas where he was involved in the entrepreneurship and venture capital community.
While a grad student, Will began to advise businesses and built financial forecasts and models to help business owners make better business decisions and raise capital. After obtaining his MBA in 2004, he became the CFO of a distressed company in the building materials industry. Will and the management team turned the company around resulting in the sale to a strategic buyer. That experience led Will to pursue a career in business advisory to privately-held companies.
After spending seven years as a business broker and M&A advisor, Will founded Watchpoint Group to provide financial leadership and guidance to business owners and their management teams.
Will lives in the Brookwood Hills neighborhood in Atlanta with his wife Anne and daughter Elizabeth.
